Camello is a yarn from Rowan's Selects-line - that is to say the yarn is limited edition and only available this season. It is a blend of extrafine merino, baby camel and nylon, which has been added to give strength to the chainette spun yarn. Chainette spinning lends elasticity and makes Rowan Camello especially useful for large garments, as they will turn out lightweight in yarn spun this way.
Rowan Camello has a long yardage and the soft touch is made possible through the blend of merino and camel's wool. Baby camel is gathered from the soft undercoat of the camel - a light and warm fibre with a softness similar to alpaca.
On average, you will need 100 g Camello for a pair of socks, 150 g for a hat and 550 g for a ladies' sweater size M.
