Material: 50 % lambswool, 25 % viscose, 25 % alpaca
Yardage: 50 g = 110 m
Needle size: 4½ - 5 mm

Loden is a tweed yarn which must be washed by hand at 20 - 25 °C. Tension is 17-18 sts = 10 cm in garter stitch on needle size 4½ - 5 mm. Loden is a yarn with great tolerance partly because of the raw materials and partly because after spinning, the yarn is slightly felted. The felting makes the yarn create a beautiful and durable knitted result that does not lint, even though the yarn is very soft to the touch.  Loden comes in close to 30 colours, all slightly tweeded.
