Flex needles or lightweigth needles. These needles are intended for knitting back and forth on large projects. Compared to circular needles, the idea of these needles is, that you will always be able to extend you project to full width AND you can knit with one needle without having to lift the entire project. This way, the weight is lighter and you will not tire as quickly when knitting a large project.
