mYak Baby Yak / Silk

The legendary Silk Road crossed Tibet, and we wanted to pay tribute to two of Asia’s special treasures.

Our luxurious blend of 50% baby yak and 50% silk is a light fingering-weight yarn that combines all the best qualities of baby yak with the beautiful sheen and elegant drape of silk. We love how these two fibres blend together to create a truly special luxury yarn.

The yarn blooms beautifully, drapes softly and has a delicate sheen. The result is a light and comfortable fabric, perfect for your favourite tops, shawls and accessories for the warmer months.

The knitted fabric is strong enough to define and maintain beautiful cables, while also being flexible enough to hold its shape in lace and openwork patterns.

The colours are inspired by the Tibetan Plateau, so you are sure to find the perfect shade for your next project.
