Gepard City Hat 3 - 3 1/2 MM needles
The City Hat can be made in a short version ready to pull from your pocket on a cold night, or with a large cuff so it stays on your head in windy weather or when you are out biking.
The difference between Medium and Large is the circumference, which means Large has room for a big hair or fits a large head, while Medium fits most adults, both men and women.

Yardage
Wide cuff hat: Pura Lana or My Wool: 2 (3) 3 balls of 50 g
or
3 strands of Cashmere Lace: 2-3 (3) 3 hanks of 25 g
or
Cashmere Luxury: 2 (3) 3 hanks of 25 g.
Short hat with optional mini cuff: For the mini cuff you may need 1 ball extra of Pura Lana or My Wool: 1-2 (2) 2 balls of 50 g
or
Cashmere Luxury: 1 (1-2) 2 balls of 25 g.
Needles & Tools:
3.5 mm circular needle (40 cm) until crown, from there double pointed needles when you get too few stitches to work on a circular needle. You will need 4 double pointed needles (ie. 3 for the stitches, working with the 4th).
Optionally a small 3-3.5 mm cabel needle.
4 stitch markers.
Gauge:
21-22 sts and 28-30 rows in stockinette stitch with 3.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm.
Approx. 24 sts and 42 rows in rib, K2, P2, with 3.5 mm needles, slightly stretched = 10 x 10 cm.
My Wool: Use a washing bag and a neutral washing detergent and hand wash or use the washing machine delicate cycle at max. 30° C. Dry flat on a towel.
Pura Lana: Hand wash at 15 - max. 20°C
Cashmere Lace: Hand wash at 25°C or airing.
Choose between the following yarns:
My Wool from Gepard: 100% extra fine merino wool, 50 g = 125 m.
Pura Lana from Gepard: 50% merino wool, 50% alpaca, 50 g = 115 m.
Cashmere Lace from Gepard: 100% finest cashmere, 25 g = ca. 350 m.
Cashmere Luxury from Laines du Nord: 25 g = 100 m.
